MSR Design president, CEO, and partner Traci Engel Lesneski, CID, LEED AP, Associate AIA, has received a 2026 Core Presidential Citation from Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a division of the American Library Association. One of 10 recipients nationwide, Traci was honored for her outstanding contributions to Core, its Buildings & Operations Section, and the library profession.

Presented by Core president Don Allgeier, the Presidential Citations recognize members whose distinguished achievements and service have made significant contributions to the association and the profession. The 2026 honorees were celebrated at the Core & John Cotton Dana Awards Ceremony during the American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago.

Traci has contributed her leadership and expertise to Core’s Buildings & Operations Leadership Team and Core Forum, the Public Library Association, the Library Leadership and Management Association, and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions’ Library Buildings and Equipment and Public Libraries committees. Through presentations, workshops, publications, and professional discussions, she has helped advance inclusive, sustainable, and community-centered approaches to library planning and design.

Traci’s library work includes the Missoula Public Library and Culture House, the first building in North America to be named Public Library of the Year by IFLA. In announcing the citation, Core stated, “We are grateful for her leadership, service, and enduring commitment to the future of library spaces.”
