Passionate about sustainability and research-informed design, Joon has conducted a variety of complex research projects, including an investigation into forced labor in the building material supply chain, the health impacts of the recycled carpet life cycle, and the embodied carbon of interior finishes. With a commitment to pushing the boundaries of sustainable design, Joon seeks to raise awareness of complex issues in design and help design professionals make informed design decisions. She has experience working internationally (including in Vietnam and Spain) on a range of projects, from residences and healthcare facilities to workplace environments and performing arts centers.

What are your favorite activities outside of work?

I enjoy traveling, going for a walk, trying good food, and exploring local boutique stores.
