Designer
Ellie enjoys designing through making to foster community and center the human experience within the built environment. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and received the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC) King Student Medal for Excellence in Architectural + Environmental Research for her grant work. For her thesis, Ellie used the craft of quilting to examine identity and intergenerational skill exchange to create a more caring and culturally resilient architecture. She believes that interdisciplinary design can result in more holistic and empathetic architecture. Ellie is interested in leveraging architecture as a tool for meaningful social and environmental change.
Design allows me to have a tangible impact on the everyday lives of the people in my community and improve the world around me.
