    • central to the loft space, the library features custom millwork and a rolling ladder
    • Overview

Designed with a New York-style apartment in mind, this 2,600 square-foot space was transformed from a contemporary base unit into a more traditional layout.

Located on the 9th floor of the Phoenix on the River building overlooking Saint Anthony Main, the loft allows the couple to remain connected with other empty nest friends and neighbors who have already moved to the riverfront. The loft features spaces with distinct character, centered on a kitchen designed for entertaining. Other spaces include dining and living areas that open onto a terrace, an adjacent library and study with two separate office areas, a guest bedroom and bath, and a master suite. Inspired by white-on-white neutrals, the finish and materials palette serves as a backdrop to highlight the couple’s existing heirloom furnishings and artwork.

    • the living area opens onto a terrace that overlooks the historic Pillsbury A Mill
    • the living and dining areas also offer spectacular views of the riverfront and downtown
    • adjacent to the living and dining areas, the kitchen has custom cabinetry, wine storage, and a bar
    • the gallery-like corridor leading to the master bedroom suite provides display space for family photos and memories
    • the master bath has a penny round tile floor and more custom millwork, in keeping with the rest of the loft
