Mitch Karr, AIA
BiographyA designer with five years of experience, Mitch is a MSR associate and architect. He has worked on all project phases from conceptual design through construction for a range of project types, including office space, housing, municipal buildings, and educational facilities. While Mitch is well-versed in the full array of digital design tools, he has a passion for investigating concepts through analog mediums. He can rapidly communicate ideas through many forms of freehand expression, including watercolor, technical pen, and graphite block. Mitch holds a Master of Architecture from Kansas Sate University (KSU) College of Architecture, Planning, and Design (CAPD). His thesis project was a finalist for the Heintzelman Prize, and he was part of KSU’s Solar Decathlon Design-Build Team. Mitch also served as a CAPD ambassador, mentor, and study abroad exhibit coordinator and spent a semester studying at the Centro Studi Citta di Orvieto in Orvieto, Italy, as part of the KSU CAPD Italian Studies Program.
