Chris Pfaeffle, AIA
BiographyA registered architect with more than 25 years’ professional experience, Chris recently joined MSR and is an associate with the firm. His background includes award-winning design, project management, business development, marketing, contract documentation, code and zoning analysis, consultant coordination, and construction administration services for a wide variety of building types. Prior to joining MSR, Chris served as a senior associate with Johnson Mirmiran Thompson (JMT) for two years. Prior to his work with JMT, he founded and managed Parameter, Inc., a full service design firm with a portfolio of new construction, mixed-use, urban, adaptive reuse, renovation, and addition projects. Chris was individually responsible for generating over $6 million in professional fees over a 10-year period at Parameter. He has given numerous design and project management presentations to federal, state and local agencies, and he is an expert in the National Park Service tax credit program. Chris holds a Bachelor of Architecture at Pratt Institute School of Architecture and studied in the school’s Spring Rome Program in 1986. He is a guest lecturer and regular juror for undergraduate and graduate studies thesis critiques and panel discussions at the University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
