Strategic goal

To be the leading design firm that achieves inspiring, generative impacts across the board on every project by 2026.

Meeting our goal

We care deeply about the world our children will inherit and know that decisions made about the built environment today will have a major impact on their future. MSR is committed to the 2030 Challenge, which advocates for architects to reduce carbon emissions in their building projects by 80% by 2020 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. We are on track to achieve this goal. We have launched an internal research initiative to improve our methods and knowledge base and have implemented a sustainability initiative designed to encourage, educate, and inspire our employees, clients, and consultants.

Generative impacts begin with ideas

We are thought leaders in our profession. We seek to push the design profession to continually improve and raise the level of critical thinking, innovation, and engagement. We regularly give professional talks, write articles, blog, and give lectures in academic settings on a range of design-related topics. We host the NEXT Design forum, a series of public events that feature recognized thought leaders who exchange ideas about design and positively impacting the environment. We invite you to join the conversation.
