The new Hennepin County Library Maple Grove is one of the first projects selected to engage readers and the general public with subject matter that goes beyond the print edition of Architecture Minnesota Magazine through the use of video content.

You can view all four videos segments—produced by photographer Ryan Siemers—that tell the story of the library on the pages that follow. Video segments include:

      • PART 1: MAPLE GROVE LIBRARY offers an overview of the building in use, through time lapse video capture.
      • PART 2: SITE & VISION discusses the building design in terms of the site and context through interviews with key stakeholders and MS&R design team members.
      • PART 3: DEFINING “LIBRARY” details how the building design considers the evolution of libraries, through additional stakeholder and designer interviews.
      • PART 4: SUSTAINABLE INTEGRATION outlines the sustainable design features of the building with interviews and diagrams.
